Advertisment

A friend of mine has just put up a blog. He’s going to talk about Open Source stuff (mainly games), he says.

Go show him your support: http://feldbit.co.cc/

I have also put the link under the Blogroll (on the right side of my page).

(Beware! It’s in German.)

I have been very unproductive lately so I didn’t have a lot of stuff to write about. If I find something to document, I’ll try to think of making another blog entry. See you readers then!

EDIT: The site I referred to has gone offline.

POV-Ray work

Happy Tuesday, people of the Internet. Today I have a new, long post for you, with pretty images! I shall demonstrate the powers of a 3D image creating program called “POV-Ray” (Persistance Of Vision Raytracer), available freely for Linux (yay!), Windows (boo!) and that Apple OS thing. I’m still learning the syntax and simple things, but I hope I will be making web applets soon, too.

My Brainfucking AVR

This is a project I have done this week. I have had an Evaluation Board with an Add-On for Atmel microcontrollers for some time now. It uses an ATMega16 (it can be replaced by other ones) and has a serial programming/communication interface, a bunch of buttons (3 on the main board, 8 on the Add-On), LEDs (2 on the main board, 8 on the Add-On) and a buzzer. The Add-On additionally has a parallel port, an IR sensor, an amplifier circuit and, most importantly, a 16×2 character LCD display:

I sincerely thank Thomas for providing me this web-space for free. You’re awesome! :D
